Kenya royal safaris

DAY 1: ABERDARES
From Nairobi drive to the highlands of the Aberdare range (170 km). Lunch at The Aberdare Country Club. After lunch, transfer in the lodge’s own transport to The Ark with an overnight bag (main luggage is stored at The Aberdare Country Club). The afternoon is spent at leisure, with dinner and overnight at The Ark.
DAY 2: SAMBURU
Breakfast at The Ark or The Aberdare Country Club. Luggage is collected before driving north across the Equator to Samburu National Reserve (225 km), a beautiful, rugged, semi-arid landscape. Lunch at Samburu Intrepids Club. An afternoon game drove searches for game seldom seen elsewhere with dinner and overnight at the lodge.
DAY 3: SAMBURU
Early morning and late afternoon game drives to view the arid, rugged but savagely beautiful Samburu and search for game seldom seen elsewhere, including the reticulated giraffe and Gravy’s zebra. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at Samburu Intrepids Club.
DAY 4: MOUNT KENYA
After breakfast head to the Mount Kenya Safari Club (210 km) in time for lunch. The air is invigorating and clouds permitting, the Club terrace offers a spectacular view of Mount Kenya’s peak, Bastion. The afternoon is set aside to enjoy the club’s outstanding facilities. In the game ranch, surrounding the Club gardens, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, impalas and the rare and elusive bongo have been spotted. Dinner and overnight at Mount Kenya Safari Club.
DAY 5: MASAI MARA
After breakfast transfer to Nanyuki Air Strip (20 km) for the flight by light aircraft to the Masai Mara.(please note that baggage allowance on these flights is strictly 15 kg. Any extra baggage should be left with drive/guide that will drive back to Nairobi where the baggage will be stored to collection after the safari ends in Nairobi). Met on arrival in the Masai Mara and transferred by the Camp’s own vehicle to the Mara Safari Club for lunch. An afternoon game drive is followed by dinner and overnight at the Mara Safari Club.
DAY 6: MASAI MARA
Optional early morning balloon flight over the Mara followed by breakfast in the bush; or an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the camp. The rest of the morning is free for relaxation with a chance to take a dip in the lodge’s pool. Lunch, followed by afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara Safari Club.
DAY 7: After breakfast, transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi by light aircraft (approximately 1 hour).
